On The Road With Ride Bicycles: Interbike Part 2: Surly

September 26, 2012

The Surly booth had much to offer: black faux fur covered bike stands, wooden rollers, taxidermy, to give you a little idea of the feel of the booth. They were also showcasing all the new, semi-disgusting (I say that as a positive description), colors and their latest Fat Bike, the Krampus. By now, you've probably heard rumors or seen a few pictures of the Krampus. Let me tell you, it is even more absurd in person than you could possibly imagine. In our searching, we were interested to learn what an actual krampus is, a mythical yule-tide terrorist of bad children. The anti-claus, if you will. Surly's color choice for the bike incarnation is absolutely perfect. Ratty, metal flake green decked out with all black componentry. It's large and in charge and ready to punish some trails. Frame and fork are going for $725, they aren't available quite yet, but keep your eyes and ears peeled; we will keep you posted on the release date! Once again, here are a few pictures for your enjoyment.
